MEMBERSHIP
There is no formal process for membership at Citizens Church. However we do believe that there is a big difference between an attender and a member. The difference can be summed up in one word… commitment. Members move past simply attending and begin to contribute.
If someone is a follower of Jesus Christ, as evident through their testimony and if they agree with our Mission and Doctrine, then we believe that their “buy in” will express itself in the following ways:
SERVING
WILL FIND THEIR PLACE TO SERVE IN CITIZENS CHURCH
“Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others. Your attitude should be the same as that of Jesus Christ…who took on the very nature of a servant…” – Philippians 2:3-4, 7
“Serve one another with the particular gifts God has given each of you…” – 1 Peter 4:10
GIVING
WILL GIVE REGULAR AND CONSISTENT FINANCIAL SUPPORT AS SCRIPTURE CALL US TO
“Each one of you, on the first day of each week, should set aside a specific sum of money in proportion to what you have earned and use it for the offering.” – 1 Corinthians 16:2
SHARING
WILL INVITE PEOPLE TO EXPERIENCE WHAT GOD IS DOING AT CITIZENS CHURCH
“Go out into the country…and urge anyone you find to come in, so that My House will be full.” – Luke 14:23
