READ / Hear God’s voice
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”
Psalm 147:3
Healing is close to the heart of God. Scripture shows us again and again that God is not distant from our pain. He moves toward it. He sees the wounds we carry, the ones others notice and the ones we have learned to hide. God does not rush healing, ignore pain, or minimize what we have been through. He heals intentionally, personally, and completely.
Throughout the Gospels, people came to Jesus with sickness, shame, regret, and brokenness, and He met them with compassion.
You can see this in passages like:
• Mark 1:40–41
• Luke 8:43–48
• John 8:3–11
• Matthew 11:28–30
Healing was not just something Jesus did. It was part of who He is. And that same heart is still toward us today.
THINK / Reflect on meaning
Many of us want healing, but we struggle with how it actually happens. Sometimes we assume healing means everything instantly goes away. Other times we think healing only applies to physical needs. But biblical healing is deeper than that. It reaches the heart, the mind, and the soul.
Healing often begins when we stop pretending we are fine and start bringing our pain honestly before God. Some wounds come from things done to us. Others come from choices we have made. Some are recent. Others have been carried for years. But none of them are beyond God’s care.
God does not shame us for our wounds. He invites us to bring them to Him. And while healing can be a process, every step toward God is a step toward wholeness. Healing does not always mean forgetting what happened. It means no longer being defined or controlled by it.
PRAY / Trust God & talk it out with Him.
Take a few moments today to bring your need for healing before God.
• Ask God to reveal areas of hurt you may have ignored or buried
• Be honest about pain you are still carrying emotionally, spiritually, or physically
• Invite God into the process, even if you do not know what healing will look like
You can simply pray:
“God, I bring You my wounds. I trust You with what hurts. Heal me in the way only You can.”
WORSHIP / Respond with worship.
Before you move on, create space to worship.
Put on one of the worship playlists provided for these 14 days. As the music plays, resist the urge to rush. Let the words settle into your heart.
As you worship, invite God into the areas where you need healing. Let this be a moment of surrender.
ACT / Live it out
Today, take one intentional step toward healing.
• Write down the areas where you need God’s healing touch
• Spend time quietly sitting with God instead of rushing through prayer
• If appropriate, consider sharing your need with a trusted friend or leader
Healing grows where honesty lives. As you create space for God today, trust that He is at work, binding wounds, restoring hope, and bringing renewal.
DIG A LITTLE DEEPER
If you have some extra time today, read Psalm 147. As you look for how God brings healing to both individuals and communities.
You could also read some of the passages where Jesus healed others. (Mark 1:40–41, Luke 8:43–48, John 8:3–11, Matthew 11:28–30). You could also read through Isaiah 53.
