READ — Hear God’s voice
“And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.”
- Jeremiah 29:13 (NKJV)
God begins this season not with a command, but with a promise. He says, “When you seek me, You will find Me.” From the very start, God assures us that He is accessible and responsive to pursuit.
These words were spoken to people who felt far from home and uncertain about their future. Yet God reminds them that even in disorientation and waiting, He remains near. His presence is not reserved for perfect moments or ideal circumstances. He allows Himself to be found by those who, no matter what might be going on in their lives, would just take the time to truly seek Him.
As we enter these days of prayer and fasting, this promise sets the tone. God is not distant. He is not withholding, rather he is ready to meet us and reveal himself to us in deeper ways.
- What does this promise reveal about God’s posture toward you?
- How does this shape the way you approach prayer and fasting?
THINK — Reflect on meaning
God doesn’t just invite us to seek what He can do—He invited us to know who He is. In Psalm 27:8: The Psalmist says .“When You said, ‘Seek My face,’ My heart said to You, ‘Your face, Lord, I will seek.’”
“Seeking His face,” is a call to relationship, not results.
We often come to God with a list in our hands, hoping He’ll fix what’s broken or change what’s hard. But this reminds us that God is after our hearts before our requests. His face represents His presence, His nearness, His attention. And when we seek His face, we discover that being with Him is greater than anything we could receive from Him.
There’s a freedom that comes when we stop treating prayer like a transaction and start living it as a connection. God’s hand may change our circumstances, but His face changes our direction, our desires, and our identity. Today, slow down long enough to be with Him. Not to ask, but to listen. Not to rush, but to remain. Because when you seek His face, you’ll find that His presence is the answer your heart has been longing for all along.
- What are you most tempted to search for when life feels uncertain?
- Where has your attention been pulled recently?
- What would it look like to seek God with your whole heart in this season?
PRAY — Trust God & talk it out with Him.
As you pray today, invite God to search your heart. Ask Him to show you anything that has distracted you from seeking Him fully. Be honest about where your desires have been divided and where you’ve been searching for fulfillment outside of Him.
- Ask God to reveal anything that has taken priority over Him
- Ask if there are things you’ve been seeking more than His presence
- Ask God to help you seek Him with your whole heart during these 14 days
WORSHIP — Respond with worship.
Worship re-centers your heart on who God is. Take time to thank Him for His nearness and faithfulness. Let gratitude remind you that God is worthy of your pursuit—not because of what He gives, but because of who He is.
- Thank God that He allows Himself to be found
- Praise Him for being present and attentive
- Express gratitude for His desire to meet with you
ACT — Live it out
Seeking God involves intentional choices. Today, align your time and attention with your desire to pursue Him.
- Choose a specific daily time to continue meeting with God during these 14 days.
- What distracts me most when I try to seek God’s presence—and what one step could I take to remove that distraction today?
- What would it look like to give God my first attention today instead of my leftover attention?
