DAY 14 – GOD SEND ME
These devotionals are designed to be simple and unhurried.
Most days will take about 10–15 minutes, but what matters most isn’t the time—it’s your attention.
You don’t need to rush, and you don’t need to do this perfectly. Some days you may linger longer. Other days may be shorter. That’s okay. The goal of these 14 days is simply making space to seek God.
Move through each devotional at a pace that works for you. Read slowly. Pray honestly. Worship simply. Take one small step of obedience when God prompts you.
Show up with an open heart, and trust that God will meet you ther
HOW TO USE THIS PAGE
- PICK A FAST
Fasting helps us focus our hearts on God. Choose a fast that fits your season — whether that’s food, media, or something God is leading you to set aside.
ABOUT FASTING
The goal of fasting is to draw nearer to God. Biblical fasting always has to do with eliminating distractions for a spiritual purpose; it hits the reset button of our soul and renews us from the inside out! It also enables us to celebrate the goodness and mercy of God and prepares our hearts for all that God desires to bring into our lives. Remember, your personal fast should present a level of challenge, but it is very important to know your own body, your options, and, most importantly, to seek God in prayer and follow what the Holy Spirit leads you to do.
Fasting is not about earning God’s favor or proving spiritual strength. It’s about creating space to hear from God more clearly. Choose a fast that helps you stay focused, present, and prayerful.
FASTING OPTIONS
There’s no single “right” way to fast. The purpose of fasting is to remove distractions so we can focus more fully on God. Choose an option that fits your season, health, and spiritual goals.
1. Complete Fast
This is a fast from all food for a set period of time, typically drinking only water.
This type of fast is more intense and should only be done if you are physically able and have experience fasting.
Best for: Those with prior fasting experience and no health limitations.
2. Partial Fast
A partial fast limits certain foods or meals during the day.
Common examples include skipping one or two meals a day or fasting from sunrise to sunset.
Best for: Those wanting a meaningful food fast while still maintaining daily responsibilities.
3. Daniel Fast
The Daniel Fast is a plant-based fast inspired by Daniel 1, focusing on fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and water while avoiding meats, sweets, and processed foods.
Best for: Those wanting a structured, Scripture-inspired fast for an extended period.
4. Media / Digital Fast
This fast involves stepping away from social media, entertainment, streaming, gaming, or excessive screen time. Each time you’d normally engage, you intentionally turn to prayer instead.
Best for: Those feeling distracted, overstimulated, or constantly connected.
5. Habit or Comfort Fast
This fast involves giving up something that regularly takes time, comfort, or focus — such as caffeine, shopping, sweets, or another daily habit.
Best for: Those wanting to heighten spiritual awareness throughout the day.
6. Combination Fast
Some people choose to combine fasting options — for example, a partial food fast paired with a media fast.
Best for: Those who want a broader reset and are confident they can maintain it healthily.
2. PICK A TIME
Set aside a consistent time each day to meet with God. Even 10–15 minutes of intentional focus can make a meaningful difference.
3. COME BACK DAILY!
Each day, return here and start by putting on one of the worship playlists.
Then move through the daily rhythm:
Read that days Scripture and devotional Journey.
Pray through the daily focus.
Worship as you sit with God’s presence.
Reflect on what God is stirring in your heart.
Connect with the prayer community by sharing requests and encouraging others.
Remember, this isn’t about checking boxes—it’s about creating space for God to speak as we walk this journey together.
